Spring Fling with DC Cares and clean out your wardrobe or pantry for a great cause!

We will be hosting a accessory drive to benefit Wardrobe for Opportunity, an organization that assists low-income individuals with building a career. Take a look around your closets and bring any items that you’d like to donate to a good home!

• Wardrobe for Opportunity accessory drive donation Items:
  • Handbags
  • Shoes
  • Jewelry
  • Scarfs

In addition, we are partnering with Share to Care, a local non-profit organization that distributes care packages to the homeless in SF. Together; we will assemble care packages at the event, soplease scour your kitchen/pantry for any non-perishable items that you’d like to contribute! Individually pre-packaged, non-perishable food items are easiest to distribute.

• Care package donation items for Share to Care -think non-perishable:
  • Chewy granola bars
  • Little cans of V8 juice
  • Little bottles of water
  • Tuna (pop top or pouch)
  • Applesauce
  • Crackers (whole wheat/whole grain/not Ritz crackers)
  • Trail mix

Other fun activities include glitter tattoos by Amanda Nicole, short and sweet tarot card readings by The Awakening Heart, a spring jewelry trunk show by Stella and Dot and a few other suprises!

Digitally Chic has teamed up with Sassy City Chicks, a nationwide sample sale shopping event, to sponsor their all new Trending Lounge at the Sassy City Chicks Fashion Bash in San Francisco on September 13th!

Dubbed the Digitally Chic Trending Lounge, bloggers will have the opportunity to chat live with guests at the event and with fans of the show online; live tweeting, blogging, and “instagraming” what they find trendy, chic, and “sassy” at the SF event. Bloggers will also have the opportunity to showcase their own blogs to the SF community.

The Lounge will consist of couches set up for bloggers comfort and space for each blogger to set up their laptops, iPads, smartphones, etc.. Event is from 5PM-10PM. Trending time slot for bloggers is from 7PM –8PM.

Event details:

4pm – Start the crawl off right by meeting at American Cupcake to receive your DC Crawl Map and have your photo taken by Urban Shutterbug Photography!

4-6pm – Visit participating stores in the Union Street shopping area for deep discounts, treats, and drinks.  Participating stores will be listed on your map, and will also be marked by our signature black and pink balloons.

6-7pm – Champagne reception:  Enjoy a glass of champagne, receive your swag bag of goodies, and mingle with your favorite DC gals and SF bloggers.  Raffle: At 6:30pm we will be raffling off awesome items like a prize bag from Photojojo, and free 1-hour massage from Cocoon Day Spa, and gift cards to some of your favorite San Francisco restaurants and stores!
